‘Skimmity Hitchers’ at the Palladium Club, 26th April.

Bideford is stocking up on cider ready for Friday 26th April when cult band Skimmity Hitchers roll their wagon into town. They’ll be performing their madcap Scrumpy & Western music at the Palladium Club on Lower Gunstone, supported by Somerset reggae-funk-hip-hop collective Monkey Bizzle. The gig will also be doubling up as a mini cider festival, with real ciders on offer from local producers such as Green Man in Barnstaple.

For the uninitiated, Skimmity Hitchers blend razor sharp parodies and original material with a raucous stage show and spontaneous audience interaction. And of course Baz, their legendary dancing badger! They have performed at hundreds of venues, festivals and cider sheds, toured with West Country legends The Wurzels and and also preached the cider gospel as far as France, Germany and North America.

Advance tickets are £10 and available online from https://www.wegottickets.com/thepalladiumclub . Any remaining tickets will be available on the door for £12. Doors open at 8pm.

This gig is part of the band’s ‘Bad Town On The Coast’ tour and other dates have already sold out, so advance booking is recommended.
