An update on BSG’s woodland project.

A couple of weeks ago we were able to do some clearing work on the woodland site next to the skate park, with help from Rose Roberts, the ranger from the Burrows. The help Rose had arranged was amazing!

Many thanks to Rose and the students from Petroc, who are studying environmental issues, who came and worked so hard. We filled 6 dumpy bags with grass, nettles, weeds and brambles. It’s been a challenge to get volunteers to help so far, covid and the weather haven’t helped. We have only lost one tree out of the 22 we planted, which is good news. They are all native trees.

If you would like to visit the site or offer some help, please get in touch.

Above are some pictures of the students working hard for the community.
