Half-term events at Northam Burrows.

The ranger team at Northam Burrows have some exciting free activities planned for this year’s February half-term for all the family to enjoy. If you’re looking for something fun to do and want to keep the children entertained while getting some fresh air, check out what’s coming up.

On 17 February, from 2pm to 4pm, families are invited to the Northam Burrows Visitor Centre for an afternoon dedicated to magnificent mice. The session will be supported by the Harvest Mouse Project Officer from the Devon Mammal Group, who will help visitors discover fascinating facts about these remarkable little creatures and guide a range of themed, hands-on activities.

Then on 19 February, from 2pm to 4pm, join the rangers near the Westward Ho! Slipway for a Rockpool Ramble. This event will be supported by the Finding Nature’s Footprints Officer from North Devon Coast National Landscape, who will help families explore the shoreline at low tide and uncover the strange and beautiful marine life that makes its home along our coastline.

No booking is required for any of the events, but children must be accompanied by an adult. Please dress appropriately for the weather and outdoor conditions, and feel free to bring along drinks and snacks.
