Half-term events on Northam Burrows.

With half-term, finding ways to keep the kids entertained can be a challenge. If you’re looking for fun, family-friendly activities to make the most of the short break, the Northam Burrows Rangers are running a number of exciting half-term events!

Visitors are invited to explore a hauntingly fun Halloween trail, running until the 2nd of November. Pick up your free trail map from the Northam Burrows Visitor Centre, open daily from 10am to 5pm!

Other key dates for the diary are:

Tuesday 28th October, 2pm – 4pm: Join the Rangers at Westward Ho! for a Rockpool Ramble, exploring the rocky shore and the variety of creatures that live in this unique habitat. Look out for the blue banner on the beach by Westward Ho! slipway to find the team.

251028 Rockpool Ramble – 1

Thursday 30th October, 2pm – 4pm: Drop in to the Northam Burrows Visitor Centre to Build Your Own Bird Box! Learn all about wildlife friendly gardening, make paper plant pots and take home seeds to grow over the winter months.

Both events are free of charge and no booking is required, simply turn up and join in! Children must be accompanied by an adult and appropriate clothing and footwear is recommended.

The fun isn’t just for the children! For those aged 16 and over, there are several Countryside Volunteering events happening throughout the rest of the year, along with the continuation of the Autumn Guided Walks.
