Stuck for something to do with the children this summer holidays? Check out what’s going on at Northam Burrows. The enthusiastic team of rangers have a number of free events running on Tuesdays and Thursdays throughout the summer break, to keep everyone entertained and get the little ones out in the fresh air.
Things kick-off on Thursday 24 July with a Poisonous Plants Guided Walk and free crafts at the visitor centre. A fun self-guided trail will also be available.

Tuesday 29 July, meet on the Westward Ho! slipway at 2pm to join in with the ‘Big Seaweed Search’.

Thursday 31 July, meet the rangers at the Northam Burrows Visitor Centre for the ‘Big Butterfly Count.’

Tuesday 5 August, bring your teddy along for the Teddy’s bears picnic – stories and crafts by the Visitor Centre.

Thursday 7 August, meet at Northam Burrows Visitor Centre at 2pm for a Bumblebee safari.

Tuesday 12 August, join the rangers for a ‘Rockpool Ramble’. Look out for the blue banner near the Westward Ho! Slipway.

Thursday 14 August, have your buckets and spades ready for the sandcastle competition.

Tuesday 19 August, drop in at the Northam Burrows Visitor Centre for Pirate Day! Join in with the trail and crafts.

Thursday 21 August, ‘Flying high’! Drop in at the Northam Burrows visitor centre to make a paper kite or glider.

Tuesday 26 August, join in with the great nurdle search at the Northam Burrows Centre.

Thursday 28 August, the rangers will be rounding off the summer holidays with art of the beach. Meet on the beach near Sandymere lifeguard hut.
