North Devon Ramblers.

Have you been enjoying walking locally during the last year? Are you keen to explore a little bit further afield? North Devon Ramblers have expert walk leaders who organize walks throughout the area, usually twice a week. We have been able to restart our walks programme under government guidelines which means we have some restrictions, but walks are fully risk assessed to ensure everyone’s safety. We have walks to suit all abilities, recent rambles have included a Nice and Easy 3 miles around Torrington, 8 miles around Baggy Point and Woolacombe and 9.5 miles in the Instow area.

Ramblers are about more than guided walks. The charity has been responsible for ensuring that our wonderful footpath network and open spaces are maintained and developed. We work with government and local authorities to ensure that any new initiatives consider the needs of walkers. Ramblers are currently leading the drive to ensure that historic rights of way are maintained, the “Don’t Lose Your Way” initiative.

We are keen to welcome new members. North Devon Ramblers are one of a dozen groups in Devon and one of hundreds nationwide. You can find out more from our website or take a look at our Facebook page. If you would like to join us for a walk the leaders’ details and booking information is on the programme.
