Join the Rangers at Northam Burrows for half-term, 24th Oct. – 1st Nov.

Northam Burrow Rangers have been busy putting the finishing touches to some exciting free Half-Term activities at Northam Burrows suitable for young and old alike. The first of these and running dawn to dusk from Saturday 24th October to Sunday 1st November is a Spooky Half Term Halloween Adventure Trail. The trail is self-guided from a discovery map that can be downloaded from the Council’s web site – then simply head outdoors to the Burrows to find creepy creatures and strange sculptures marked on the map. Solve the clues to reveal the secret words and take part in the picture challenge to prove you completed the trail. No booking is required, and the start point for the trail is near the Westward Ho! entrance to the park.

The other event – Dark skies – lights in the landscape is a guided walk as part of Devon Dark skies week in collaboration with North Devon Coast AONB. Unfortunately, this event is sadly already fully booked out. However other events are being organised in Northern Devon by Natural Devon as part of the Dark Skies celebrations, so please check their web pages for details as there may still be spaces on some of these:

For further information on Northam Burrows Park and contact details head over to the Northam Burrows web pages here: or to join their events and newsletter mailing list email with a request to be added. Happy Halloween!
