Oldenburg sailed from Bideford 13/11 for her annual dry docking at Sharpness. No other shipping movements.
The news was released 1/11 that Babcocks would cease shipbuilding at Appledore in March 2019. It is very unfortunate for the employees at the yard, who will either have to move to Plymouth or take redundancy. Let us all hope that another company, perhaps with a more innovative approach, could take over the yard and make a success of continuing to build ships.
