Appledore Summer Festival.

27, 28 & 29 July.

On the eve of this year’s Appledore Summer Festival the Appledore West Quay Fund Raisers will be presenting a Film Night in St Mary’s Church Hall – film to be announced later! Drinks will be available.

On Saturday and Sunday Appledore Quay will be the centre of activity with street performers including dancers, buskers, street artists, musicians – and some super costumes! This year’s Festival theme is ‘Magical Sea Creatures’ and everyone is invited to arrive dressed in appropriate sea/beach themed costumes – so let your imagination run wild! (Prizes awarded!).

The villagers are again invited to enter the traditional decorated doorknocker and doorways competition, to be voted the most original display. The winner will receive the Bob Stokoe Award, donated by the family of the late Bob Stokoe, who worked at Appledore Shipyard for many years and so much enjoyed coming to the festival.

A Food & Craft Market will be in St Mary’s Hall on Saturday and Sunday, 11-4, with some wonderful locally made crafts from talented crafters, plus cakes and preserves; while In the Blue Lights Hall there will be Holistic Therapies for you to try out.
