Tarka Quilters.

Tarka Quilters have had a very successful day making small cuddly quilts (see above) for the children of domestic abuse victims. The quilters all brought an assortment of fabrics which were pooled and resulted in a lovely variety of finished quilts. A representative from the charity came to collect them and said that often when families come into the refuge they have absolutely nothing of their own, not even a toothbrush. These quilts will give the children something they can keep and take with them when they finally find safe homes to go to.

Tarka Quilters meet twice a month, and as well as ‘stitch and chat’ sessions have workshops, trips and always someone to offer advice and help. For further information contact Steph 01237 470570 or Kate 01237 470846.
