Appledore’s ale, cider, and sausage festival – 28th & 29th April.

Hosted at St. Mary’s Hall in the picturesque village of Appledore, the Sausage and Ale Festival showcases a wide range of our fabulous local ales, ciders and sausages.

These wonderful local products will be accompanied by live music from the likes of ‘Ska’ favourites Skata Tones, Bude rockers The Defs, foot-stomping gypsy folk rock from Black Friday of Plymouth, and many more.

There’s free entry for kids to the Children’s entertainment throughout the Saturday (children must be accompanied by a responsible adult until 4pm).

There will be many other alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, as well as ice cream available for the little’uns!

Score cards will be provided for the revellers to rate the ales, ciders and sausages. (The score cards will contribute towards the judging of the prize- winning beverage and sausage). Last year’s award winners were Country Life Brewery for ‘Best Ale’, with their zingy Golden Pig.

The ‘Best Sausage’ award went to Frank Heard’s Butchers of Westward Ho! for their sumptuous Lamb and Mint sausage, and ‘Best Cider’ was awarded to Sandford Orchard’s fruity ‘Strawberry Lane‘.

The Appledore Sausage and Ale Festival takes place on Friday evening 28th April from 5pm, and Saturday 29th all day from 11am. Tickets are £10 for a day pass or £16 for a two-day pass, and are available online at
